Insert Dumb-Bells in Ermine
is a 1930 American pre-Code comedy film produced by Warner Bros. It is based on the 1925 play Weak Sisters by Lynn Starling.
Plot Summary
The film is a romantic drama set in a small Virginia town. The plot revolves around:
Faith Corey, a woman from a socially prominent family.
Jerry Malone, a prizefighter with whom Faith falls in love, despite her mother's disapproval.
Siegfried, a missionary reformer whom Faith's mother wants her to marry.
Complications ensue when Jerry's manager tries to keep the pair apart. After a quarrel, Faith almost marries Siegfried, but the truth about his character is revealed at a revival meeting. In the end, Jerry wins back Faith, and they are united with the family's blessings.
