Artist: Tom Jung designed and painted the iconic "Style A" poster.
Composition: The artwork uses a dramatic, triangular composition with Luke Skywalker holding a lightsaber high and Princess Leia in a dynamic pose, set against the menacing, ghosted silhouette of Darth Vader and the Death Star.
Details:
C-3PO and R2-D2 were added to the bottom right of the final version by another artist, Nick Cardy, after the initial design was completed.
Jung was given the theme of "good versus evil" and provided with production photos and stills from the film to create the poster. |
