Peace - After (Poster) Concert Poster "Peace" concert featuring Joan Baez and the Grateful Dead at the Mount Tamalpais Outdoor Theater on October 8, 1966. Concert Details Location: Mount Tamalpais Outdoor Theater, Marin County, California. Purpose: The event was a benefit and propaganda effort for Phil Drath, a congressional candidate and staunch anti-war supporter. Other Acts/Speakers: The concert also featured speakers Ed Keating and Don Duncan, and initially included Mimi Farina and Quicksilver Messenger Service. Joan Baez and Mimi Farina reportedly canceled their performance and were replaced by Bola Sete. Poster Artwork & Value Artists: The iconic "Winnie the Pooh and Piglet" design was created by the renowned graphic artist duo Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. Design Details: The image playfully depicts Pooh bear carrying a "kilo" of something in his arm and Piglet blowing smoke from a joint, walking into the sunset.
