Plot Summary Comedy duo Chick Young (Abbott) and Wilbur Grey (Costello) work as baggage handlers who mistakenly deliver the remains of Dracula and Frankenstein's monster to a house of horrors museum. Dracula intends to replace the Monster's brain with Wilbur's more pliable one, while the Wolf Man, Lawrence Talbot (Chaney Jr.), tries desperately to stop them. The film is considered the swan song for the "Big Three" Universal horror monsters.
Legacy The film is highly regarded and was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 2001, and listed as one of the top 100 funniest films of all time by Reader's Digest. |
