Disneyland Attraction poster for the Country Bear Jamboree. This classic Disney show, featuring Audio-Animatronic bears, was originally developed for a proposed ski resort and was one of the last attractions Walt Disney personally helped develop.

Opening Dates:
Walt Disney World (Magic Kingdom): Opened on October 1, 1971, as an opening day attraction.
Disneyland: Opened on March 4, 1972, in the new Bear Country (later Critter Country) area of the park.
Tokyo Disneyland: Opened on April 15, 1983.
Status: The attraction still operates in an updated format as the "Country Bear Musical Jamboree" at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and at Tokyo Disneyland. The Disneyland version closed in 2001 to make way for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride.
Characters: The show features numerous bears, including the host Henry, the Five Bear Rugs band (Zeke, Zeb, Ted, Fred, and Tennessee), Trixie, and Big Al. |
