Publisher: It was commissioned by the Österreichische Verkehrswerbung (Austrian National Tourist Office), in conjunction with the Federal Ministry for Trade and Transport (Werbedienst des Bundesministeriums für Handel und Verkehr, Wien). Style: The design is a dynamic example of the Art Deco style, using bold, simplified shapes and a limited color palette of deep blues, oranges, and white to convey speed and the thrill of the sport. Purpose: The poster was designed to promote Austria as a premier destination for winter sports tourism in the Austrian Alps.
