Synopsis
In the film, Bond tracks his archnemesis, Blofeld, to a remote allergy research clinic atop a Swiss Alp, Piz Gloria. Blofeld is using a group of hypnotized "angels of death" to distribute a bacteriological warfare agent that would sterilize the world's agriculture.
During his mission, Bond meets and falls in love with the Contessa Teresa "Tracy" di Vicenzo, the daughter of a crime syndicate boss, and they eventually marry. The story is known for its more serious and tragic tone, culminating in a devastating ending where Tracy is killed in a drive-by shooting orchestrated by Blofeld shortly after their wedding.
This film is widely regarded by many fans and critics today as one of the best and most faithful adaptations of an Ian Fleming novel.. |
