The Artist and Technique
Luigi Kasimir attended the Vienna Academy of Art, where he developed a unique multi-plate color etching process. He would first create a sketch, then transfer the design onto as many as four to six separate metal plates, applying the color by hand before printing them one after another to achieve a clean, naturally colored image. His work is known for depicting famous landmarks and street scenes from around the world. |
