Proche Orient - Mounted (Poster) One sheet Travel Poster Air France The aircraft depicted in the 1950 Air France "Proche Orient" (Near East) poster is widely identified as a Lockheed Constellation. The poster was created by the French artist Jean Even to promote Air France routes to the Middle East. The distinctive three-tail and dolphin-shaped fuselage of the Lockheed Constellation "Connie" made it a famous and easily recognizable airliner of the era.
