Electric Flag

Electric Flag (Poster) Concert poster vintage psychedelic concert poster for The Electric Flag, Smokestack Lightning, and Illinois Speed Press performing at The Kaleidoscope club in Los Angeles in June 1968. This highly sought-after circular poster is a notable example from the 1960s psychedelic rock poster series. The artwork features a distinctive black-and-white, highly detailed, circular design with various abstract and surreal elements, characteristic of psychedelic art of the era. The word "KALEIDOSCOPE" can be seen incorporated into the central design. The artist who created the Electric Flag Kaleidoscope poster from June 1968 is Lee Conklin. Conklin was a prominent San Francisco-based artist during the psychedelic era, known for his intricate and often surreal drawings. He worked extensively for concert promoter Bill Graham and created many iconic posters for the Fillmore Auditorium and Fillmore West venues, often featuring detailed, flowing designs like the one seen in the image.
