Synopsis: Con men Chuck Reardon (Crosby) and Hubert "Fearless" Frazier (Hope) flee a South African carnival after one of their acts causes a fire. They get mixed up with two attractive female con artists, Donna (Lamour) and Julia (Una Merkel), who trick them into financing a safari across Africa. Their adventures lead them to being captured by a tribe of cannibals, from whom they must escape.
This film is known for its blend of jokes, ad-libs, songs, and self-aware spoofing of the popular jungle adventure genre films of the era. |
