The results of the championship were as follows:
Winner: The Soviet Union, who claimed their second gold title in the competition, going undefeated.
Second Place: Czechoslovakia.
Third Place: Bulgaria.
This event was a major early international volleyball competition organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). |
