a rare, minimalist
original poster for the German experimental electronic/krautrock project Kluster. The text on the poster reads "KLUSTER" and "Elektrische Eruption".
Information on the Poster and Album
Band: Kluster (later known as Cluster)
Title: The poster advertises "Elektrische Eruption", which is associated with the band's third and final album as a trio, titled Eruption.
Release: The Eruption album was a live recording from the band's last concert with all three original members in 1971. The original LP was a private pressing of only about 100-200 copies, with little to no information on the sleeve, making the poster exceptionally rare.
Design: The poster was designed by one of the band members, Conrad Schnitzler, who was a student of the artist Joseph Beuys.
Genre & Influence: Kluster's music is known for its "disorienting urban-industrial and proto-ambient" sound, which was highly influential on later industrial music acts like Einstürzende Neubauten. |
