Le Mystère du Château Maudit, is the 1940 American horror-comedy classic The Ghost Breakers. It stars Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard, and was directed by George Marshall.
The movie follows radio broadcaster Larry Lawrence (Hope) and heiress Mary Carter (Goddard) as they travel to a supposedly haunted castle on a Cuban island to investigate its mysterious legacy and a hidden treasure, encountering a ghost and a zombie along the way. It was the second successful film pairing for Hope and Goddard after The Cat and the Canary the previous year. |
