Concert tickets

Concert tickets (Poster) collection of vintage concert tickets from various punk and rock acts performing in Scotland during the late 1970s. Ticket Details The tickets visible in the image include performances by several notable bands: The Damned: The two yellow ticket stubs are for a concert at the Apollo Centre on Renfield Street, Glasgow. They also played a show at Pathfoot Refectory, Stirling University on April 2nd, 1977. Ramones & The Rezillos: The orange ticket is for the Ramones (plus The Rezillos as support) at The Apollo in Glasgow on Monday, December 19th, 1977. A recording of this specific Ramones performance was later released as a live album. The Rezillos later recorded their own live album at the Apollo during their farewell gig in December 1978. Glasgow Apollo The Apollo Centre (later known simply as The Apollo) was a famous Scottish concert venue located on Renfield Street, Glasgow, known for its vibrant atmosphere and "bouncing balcony". It was a central location for live music in the 1970s and 80s until its closure and eventual demolition in the mid-1980s. These tickets represent a significant moment in punk rock history, including the first ever UK punk record release by The Damned and the Ramones' Rocket to Russia tour.
