The artist for the original Italian "locandina" movie poster for
"The Music Man" (1962/1963 Italian release) is Angelo Cesselon. Another source mentions Renato Ferrini as a designer for a similar Italian poster, but Cesselon is strongly cited for this specific style of painted poster.
Cesselon (1922-1992) was a renowned Italian poster painter known for his distinctive portrait work of film stars. He was highly regarded in the Italian film industry, winning an award for the best cinematographic painter in 1955, and his work for this film is a classic example of his painterly style. |
