Plot Summary
The story follows Roy Rogers as he helps the ranchers of Cherokee City after a crooked trucking company owner, Ross Lambert, doubles the rates for shipping cattle to market. Roy devises a plan to ship the cattle via riverboat instead, contacting an eccentric steamboat owner, Colonel Silas Popen. However, the plan is complicated because the Colonel has a severe phobia of the "Wild West," a fear that Lambert attempts to exploit to sabotage the deal.
