Abstract Sketch

After Original Fine art by Dali, This artwork is an illustration by Salvador Dalí for the "The Walrus and the Carpenter" chapter of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. In 1969, Dalí created a limited edition portfolio of illustrations for a deluxe version of the book commissioned by the Maecenas Press-Random House. The set included twelve heliogravures, one for each chapter, and a frontispiece. The figure of Alice is depicted as a girl skipping rope, a motif that Dalí reused from an earlier painting.
