Halfsheet 1966 poster of Bob Dylan designed by the renowned American graphic designer Milton Glaser.
Poster Details and History
Origin: The poster was originally commissioned by CBS Records to generate positive publicity for the album Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits. It was included as a folded insert within the LP when it was released on March 27, 1967.
Design Inspiration: Glaser's design features a black silhouette of Dylan in profile, with his hair rendered in vibrant, "medusa-headed" psychedelic swirls. He reportedly took inspiration for the silhouette from a Marcel Duchamp self-portrait.
Dimensions: Original lithograph versions typically measure approximately 22 x 33 inches. |
