Movie Overview
Directed by Joe Roth and written by Chris Columbus, the film is based on the 2001 novel Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. It follows Luther Krank (Tim Allen) and his wife Nora Krank (Jamie Lee Curtis), who decide to completely skip Christmas and go on a Caribbean cruise after their daughter, Blair, leaves home. This decision causes an uproar among their Christmas-obsessed neighbors, led by Vic Frohmeyer (Dan Aykroyd).
