Artist: The poster was designed by Albert Brenet (1903–2005).
Subject Matter: It depicts a traditional hunting scene in Africa, showing two hunters in a canoe with their prey, a leopard. A distant airplane in the sky provides a contrast between traditional life and modern aviation.
Printer: The original posters were printed by Perceval, Paris.
Significance: It was commissioned to promote Air France's flight services to French West Africa. |
