Movie Overview
The film is a lighthearted spoof of the hard-boiled gangster genre that both Robinson and Bogart were famous for at the time. It follows mob boss "Little" John Sarto (Robinson), who retires to Europe to find "class". After being swindled out of his fortune and nearly killed by his former underboss Jack Buck (Bogart), he seeks refuge in a monastery. There, he begins a humorous and sincere transformation while posing as a novice monk nicknamed "Brother Orchid".
