Lynn and her gang of armored-car robbers, led by the psychotic Al Kutner (Jan Merlin), force Harold to be their getaway driver. Fleeing to the High Sierra mountains to wait out a snowstorm, the criminals take over a remote weather station cabin. They hold the occupants, state employees Terry Dolgin (Joan Evans) and her brother Luther (Peter Miller), as hostages.
