Plot Summary
The story follows the East Side Kids as they rescue a young girl named Sylvia from her abusive stepfather, Morley. When Morley is later murdered by a gangster named McGaffey, the gang hides Sylvia in their clubhouse to protect her. Complications arise when one of the gang members, Danny, is arrested for the crime after returning to the apartment for Sylvia's clothes. The real killer attempts to blackmail the gang's leader, Muggs, into a warehouse heist using a murder weapon that bears his fingerprints. Ultimately, a former gang member currently in the Navy, Rusty, helps the boys solve the mystery with the aid of Sylvia's paralyzed grandfather, who witnessed the crime.
