007 Dr. No

007 Dr. No - Mounted (Poster) One sheet, movie poster This iconic 1962 poster for Dr. No, the first James Bond film, features Sean Connery as the titular spy alongside several prominent female characters from the movie. While the poster uses a stylized, color-coded design, the women depicted are based on key characters and actresses: Yellow Silhouette: Represents Honey Ryder, played by Ursula Andress. She is famously known as the first "Bond girl" for her entrance emerging from the sea in a white bikini. Blue Silhouette: Features a character with a towel, likely Miss Taro, portrayed by Zena Marshall. In the film, she is a double agent working for Dr. No. Peach/Orange Silhouette: Depicts Sylvia Trench, played by Eunice Gayson. She is technically the first woman Bond interacts with on screen, appearing in the opening casino scene where she helps prompt his famous "Bond, James Bond" introduction. Pink/Red Silhouette: Likely represents Annabel Chung, the photographer and operative for Dr. No played by Marguerite LeWars. The artwork was originally created by Mitchell Hooks based on a design by David Chasman. Interestingly, in some highly censored versions of this poster, such as those released in Ireland in 1962, the white bikini on the central figure was painted over to look like a black dress.
