Mexico

Mexico (Poster) One sheet original vintage Mexico travel poster created by artist Salvador Pruneda circa 1948. The artwork features fishermen in traditional dugout canoes on Lake Chapala (Lago de Chapala), identified by the "butterfly" fishing nets seen in the background. It was commissioned by the Dirección General de Turismo, Mexico's government tourism agency, to promote international travel to the region. Collector's Details Artist: Salvador Pruneda (1895–1985), a prominent Mexican illustrator and cartoonist. Original Dimensions: Approximately 26 ½ x 37 ¼ inches (67 x 95 cm).
