The Spanish Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí created a 17-card deck of surrealist playing cards in 1967, and later released the designs as a series of limited edition lithographs in 1972. The image shown is a color lithograph on Arches paper.
The playing cards feature Dalí's signature surrealist style, with geometric and bizarre imagery. The card designs were inspired by the "Paris pattern" cards but were reinterpreted with Dalí's unique motifs.
