U.S. WINDOW CARD, MGM, GRETA GARBO, LEWIS STONE, NILS ASTHER, 1929, MOUNTED TO ORIGINAL CARDBOARD |
| Card was soaked under Mylar for approx. 25 minutes and then removed from cardboard backing. A new substrate of Masa and Okawara paper was constructed and poster was mounted to it. It was then partially dried in vacuum/heat press for approx. 20 minutes and then allowed to dry completely overnight. Losses occurred in the top and lower right, these were replaced with similar paper and then the paper color and pink color were airbrushed with water soluble paints. Detail work was done with colored pencil and watercolor. |
