Hupmobile 8
1966 psychedelic concert poster known as "Hupmobile-8" (designated as FD-9 in the Family Dog concert series). Designed by pioneering graphic artist Wes Wilson, the poster advertised a three-night concert run from May 20–22, 1966, at the historic Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. The event featured a historic lineup of influential 1960s rock acts:Love (from Los Angeles)Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band (from New York)Big Brother and the Holding Company (from San Francisco, performing Saturday night only)Key Details of the Poster The Imagery: The central black-and-white photograph features a classic image of legendary actress Greta Garbo from her 1932 MGM movie Mata Hari.The Text: The top moniker "Hupmobile-8" references an actual historic automobile line produced by the Hupp Motor Company. The bottom section lists ticket outlets of the era across the Bay Area (including City Lights Book Store and Discount Records) overlaid across a warning statement about Camel cigarettes.Production: The poster notes that the liquid light show for the weekend was provided by light art pioneer Bill Ham.

If it has relied on significant evaluation assistance from any individual or individuals in the performance of this evaluation or the appropriation of this evaluation report, PM-LAPG has named such individuals and disclosed the specific task performed in this evaluation report. PM-LAPG certifies that any individual so named is qualified to the same extent as PM to perform the task. PM-LAPG has not authorized anyone to make a change to any item in this evaluation report, therefore, any change made to this evaluation is unauthorized and PM-LAPG will not take responsibility for it.
VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent. This consent must be obtained before this evaluation report may be disclosed or distributed to any other party, including, but not limited to, the public through advertising, public relations, news, sales, or other media.
