One sheet authentic 1935 vintage travel poster titled "See India / Darjeeling and Kanchanjunga," designed by the prominent commercial artist Charles Shepherd (who signed his work as "SHEP"). Poster Details & Historical Context Creator: Designed by Charles Shepherd ("Shep"), an English graphic artist active in the interwar years.Publication: Originally published around 1934–1935 by the state-owned Indian State Railways and printed by G. Claridge & Co., Ltd. in Bombay.Visual Style: The poster features striking, minimalist layers using geometric shapes and bright color blocking typical of European modernist graphic design from that era. It depicts the hillside town of Darjeeling nestled against the snow-capped massif of Kangchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world.Purpose: These posters were distributed globally to promote luxury tourism to British India. PM-LAPG certifies that any individual so named is qualified to the same extent as PM to perform the task. PM-LAPG has not authorized anyone to make a change to any item in this evaluation report, therefore, any change made to this evaluation is unauthorized and PM-LAPG will not take responsibility for it.
VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent.
