One sheet original 1934 Soviet travel poster created by artist Valerian Zhitenev (1902–1974) to advertise tourism to the Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.Historical Context & Purpose Commissioning Body: The poster was published by Intourist, the official state travel agency of the Soviet Union established in 1929 under Joseph Stalin.Foreign Currency & Image: During the 1930s, the USSR launched global advertising campaigns to attract wealthy Western tourists, generate foreign currency, and project an idealized, cosmopolitan image of the Soviet republics.Design Elements: To appeal to international audiences, artists blended traditional ethnic imagery with the high-end Art Deco style popular in Western commercial travel posters. This piece highlights local indigenous culture through a striking illustration of a Buryat archer in traditional dress.

VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent.
