One sheet original vintage Air France travel poster for Paris, originally designed by French illustrator Pierre Baudouin.Poster Details & History Design & Subject: The artwork depicts a striking, stylized overhead aerial view of the Arc de Triomphe and the radiating boulevards of the Place de l'Étoile lit up brilliantly at night.Evolution of the Design: Baudouin initially created this iconic image for Air France in 1947. The original 1947 edition featured a propeller plane (a Bloch Languedoc or Lockheed Constellation).The Version Shown: The specific poster in the image is a 1962/1963 reissue. This is evident from the modern jet silhouette updated in the lower-right corner to reflect Air France's transition into the commercial jet age. It also features the slogan "The World's Largest Airline" along the bottom margin.
