It plays directly on the name of the destination, Gleneagles.The Slogan: The text reads "Fore! Gleneagles – The Golf Course the Great in Scotland". This was part of a major tourism campaign to promote rail travel to Scotland's newly developing premium golf courses. Historical Significance: Because the poster explicitly names the Caledonian Railway, it dates to the era before the British railway companies were grouped into the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) in 1923.
