ROAC The Guns Depend on You
One sheet. This is an original 1939 British Second World War propaganda poster titled "The Guns Depend on You". Designed by the distinguished British graphic and poster artist Pat Keely (Patrick Cokayne Keely). His signature and the year ("Pat Keely '39") are visible in the top left corner. It was commissioned as a recruitment and morale poster for the Territorial Army (TA). The poster specifically highlights the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC), the corps responsible for the supply and maintenance of weaponry, ammunition, and equipment. The artwork utilizes a strong, minimalist modernist style. It depicts a stylized silhouette of an RAOC soldier leaning over a massive artillery gun barrel. The technician's hands are highlighted in bright orange, holding a large spanner (wrench) as he repairs or services the mechanism. This imagery draws a direct connection between mechanical upkeep and battlefield readiness, reminding support personnel that combat success relies entirely on their technical skill. PM-LAPG certifies that any individual so named is qualified to the same extent as PM to perform the task. PM-LAPG has not authorized anyone to make a change to any item in this evaluation report, therefore, any change made to this evaluation is unauthorized and PM-LAPG will not take responsibility for it.
VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent. This consent must be obtained before this evaluation report may be disclosed or distributed to any other party, including, but not limited to, the public through advertising, public relations, news, sales, or other media.
