Levis
One sheet vintage Levi's advertising poster created by graphic designer Ida van Bladel in 1971.
Originally designed for the European market through the Young & Rubicam agency in Brussels, the poster was intended to succinctly advertise the skin-tight fit of Levi's jeans. The bold imagery, featuring a nude woman's buttocks with pocket stitching and a Levi's tag, reflected the social transformations and sexual liberation movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Key Details of the Campaign

Designer: Ida van Bladel.
Release Year: Approximately 1971, with some records listing it as 1973.
Controversy: While it was used in Europe (notably Belgium and Denmark), a planned U.S. version of the campaign was reportedly cancelled by Levi's corporate, who deemed the photo too inappropriate for mainstream American use at the time.
Collector Status: Original posters from this era are considered rare artifacts and have been sold at various auctions, such as Bonhams and Swann Auction Galleries.
