Artistic Contributions
The design is composed of several distinct elements contributed by the three artists:
Alton Kelley: Provided the central image, which is a portrait of actor Lon Chaney from the 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera.
Stanley Mouse: Created the "Trip or Freak" lettering at the top, which is stylized into the shape of a topless woman.
Rick Griffin: Designed the elaborate, hand-drawn concert information lettering at the bottom.
