Winner: The overall winner of the Golden Plough Trophy was M. A. Th. Schooner from the Netherlands.
Political Context: The event was notable for its political backdrop, as some countries withdrew their representatives due to the presence of the Rhodesian team, a reflection of the political climate at the time.

The stamps and related philatelic materials issued for the 1968 World Ploughing Contest in Rhodesia were designed by an artist named
Rose Martin. The poster itself features the same imagery as these stamps.
