Phish
Concert poster screenprint
"Phish - Astron" poster, which is an iconic, limited-edition, hand-pressed linocut print created by the artist Jim Pollock in 2000. It was released as a commemorative item through Phish Dry Goods in October 2004, not tied to a specific concert date. The artwork features Pollock's recurring character, an astronomer named Neo, using a telescope to look at a fish in a surreal, psychedelic sky, which has become a beloved symbol within the Phish community, reflecting the improvisational energy of the band.
The original print is highly sought after by collectors, with an initial run of 750 signed and numbered pieces, each measuring approximately 13" x 25.5". Due to its rarity and significance, the market value for a mint condition original can range significantly, sometimes selling for several thousand dollars at auction. Jim Pollock has since released several other popular variants and art prints based on the "Neo" character in different colors and sizes.
