One sheet, damaged by flood, stuck to glass, A Day in the Country: Impressionism and the French Landscape
was a major art exhibition held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) from June 28 to September 16, 1984. The exhibition was part of the 1984 Olympic Arts Festival in Los Angeles.
The poster features a painting by Claude Monet. The exhibition itself was co-organized by LACMA, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Réunion des musées nationaux in France. It showcased 128 Impressionist landscape paintings by 17 artists, including Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Paul Cézanne.
