Sponsorship: Silvercup Bread was the original sponsor of The Lone Ranger radio program, with the partnership beginning in November 1933 and continuing until 1939.
Catchphrase: The sign features the iconic catchphrase "Hi-Yo Silver" which was spoken by the character to his horse, Silver.
Legacy: The former Silvercup bakery building in Long Island City, New York, which once produced a significant portion of the bread for the metropolitan area, was later repurposed and is now known as Silvercup Studios.
