Ungarn Child
One sheet, This poster, titled "Ungarn", which is German for Hungary, was designed in the 1930s by the Hungarian graphic artist Gitta Mallasz. The poster was created for the Hungarian National Tourist Office to promote tourism to Hungary. It features a stylized boy in a traditional folk costume, which was a popular theme in Hungarian art during the interwar period. Mallasz often worked with her friend and fellow artist Hanna Dallos, and their posters from this time are noted for blending modern design with traditional folk art elements. The poster is considered a collectible piece of interwar Central European graphic design.
