FD 16 Sir Douglas Quintet
Concert Poster, The poster depicts a concert at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco featuring the Sir Douglas Quintet and Everpresent Fullness from July 8-10, 1966. The artists for the poster were Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, and the concert's light show was provided by Bill Ham. The poster is part of the Family Dog series and is numbered FD-16.
The poster's imagery includes a Smokey Bear-like figure playing a guitar-shovel, and the phrase "Keep California Green". The first printing of the poster was intentionally printed slightly out of register to simulate the visual effects of an LSD trip, with the blurriness increasing toward the bottom of the poster. The buckle on the Smokey Bear-like figure's belt reads "SMOKE!".
The first printing of this poster had a limited run of 1,000 copies and is considered a collector's item. Later printings, done after the concert, do not have the off-register printing effect.

PM-LAPG certifies that any individual so named is qualified to the same extent as PM to perform the task. PM-LAPG has not authorized anyone to make a change to any item in this evaluation report, therefore, any change made to this evaluation is unauthorized and PM-LAPG will not take responsibility for it.
VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent. This consent must be obtained before this evaluation report may be disclosed or distributed to any other party, including, but not limited to, the public through advertising, public relations, news, sales, or other media.
