Dog Barking at the Moon (French: Le Chien aboyant à la lune) by the Spanish artist Joan Miró. It is a surrealist painting created in 1952.
This piece was a lithograph, or a print made from a stone plate, that Miró created for the 1952 publication Verve: Vol VII Nos 27 & 28. It is one of several works by the artist with the same title, including a 1926 oil painting that is part of the collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The artwork depicts a large, stylized dog with a red tongue, barking at a yellow moon in a dark blue sky. A ladder is also visible in the piece.
