Godfrey Daniels
One sheet WC Fields Al Hirschfeld poster for the book
Godfrey Daniels! which features W.C. Fields in a caricature. The artwork is an illustration of a scene from the 1933 film The Barber Shop. The book is a collection of "verbal and visual gems" from the short films of W.C. Fields. The poster itself also contains the phrase, "The act of love, you think so? I've got to go to school that asks you that".
Godfrey Daniels
is also the name of a long-running coffeehouse and folk music club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which was named after a euphemistic expletive used by W.C. Fields. It was founded in 1976 and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to folk music and performing arts.
