Release: Released on July 5, 1993, while U2 was on a break from the Zoo TV Tour, Zooropa continued the band's exploration of alternative rock and electronic dance music.
Production: Originally planned as an EP, it became a 10-track album recorded in six weeks, produced by Flood, Brian Eno, and The Edge.
Artwork: The cover, designed by Works Associates of Dublin, features a stylized head with text layered over blurred images, including photos of European leaders. The purple text includes song titles considered but not used for the album.
Reception: Zooropa won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album in 1994, received favorable reviews, and sold over 7 million copies globally.
