The RMS Queen Mary

History: The Queen Mary was launched in 1934 and made her maiden voyage in 1936, becoming one of the most famous and luxurious ocean liners of her time.
Significance: During her service, she held the Blue Riband for the fastest transatlantic crossing multiple times and served as a vital troopship (nicknamed the "Grey Ghost") during World War II.
Current Status: After her retirement in 1967, the ship was permanently docked in Long Beach, California, where it now serves as a popular hotel, museum, and event venue.
