Air India Paris
One sheet Air India "Paris" travel poster is a famous piece of vintage advertising art, created around 1956.
Poster Details

Artist: The poster was designed by Nargis Wadia.
Art Direction: The art director for Air India at the time was Jal B. Cowasji.
Design: The playful design features a line of can-can dancer's legs, each in a different vibrant color, with the letters of "PARIS" written across them. The original artwork did not include the airline's "Maharaja" mascot.
Controversy: The poster caused a stir when a Member of Parliament in India objected, claiming it was "cheapening" the airline's image. Air India's management at one point modified the poster to remove the mascot from other versions of their city posters, diluting its charm.
