The Werewolf, which tells a modern (for the time) tale of lycanthropy.
The Werewolf (1956)

Plot In the small town of Mountaincrest, an amnesiac man, Duncan Marsh, is injected with "irradiated wolf serum" by two unscrupulous scientists as part of an anti-radiation experiment after he is in a car crash. The serum causes him to transform into a savage werewolf under emotional stress. A police manhunt ensues as the local sheriff tries to catch the creature, while the scientists attempt to cover up their mistake.
Cast The film stars Don Megowan as Sheriff Jack Haines and Steven Ritch as the afflicted Duncan Marsh. Joyce Holden also features as Amy Standish.
Production The film was directed by Fred F. Sears and produced by Sam Katzman. It was released in July 1956 as a black-and-white, second feature on a double bill with Earth vs. the Flying Saucers.
Tagline The poster features the tagline: "The horror of all mankind terrifies the screen!"
