Circus poster cover for the
"Luna Luna" exhibition catalog from 1987, also published as the book Luna Luna: The Art Amusement Park. It features moon-themed illustrations by many of the renowned artists who contributed to the art park.
Luna Luna Exhibition Details

Concept Luna Luna was the world's first art amusement park, curated by Austrian artist André Heller. His goal was to merge high art with popular culture, creating a "travelling terrain of modern art" that would be accessible to everyone.
Original Event The park ran in Hamburg, Germany, from June to August 1987, and featured functional rides and attractions designed by more than 30 acclaimed contemporary artists.
Featured Artists Notable contributors included Jean-Michel Basquiat (who designed a Ferris wheel), Keith Haring (a carousel), Salvador DalĂ (a mirrored pavilion), and Roy Lichtenstein (a glass labyrinth).
Resurrection After legal and financial difficulties, the park's components were stored in shipping containers in Texas for over 30 years. In 2022, the collection was acquired and restored by Canadian rapper Drake's entertainment company, DreamCrew, and relaunched as a touring exhibition titled Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy.
