The poster promotes a daily service by Railway Air Services & Spartan Air Lines, highlighting the speed of travel: "LONDON & ISLE OF WIGHT IN 40 MINUTES". The fares listed are 26/6 single (26 shillings and sixpence) and 45/- return (45 shillings).
The aircraft featured in the poster, with the registration G-ADEL, is a Spartan Cruiser III, a British-made, three-engined transport monoplane. Only three models of the Cruiser III were ever built. The service was operated in collaboration with the Southern Railway.
